|Description:||Compiles, analyzes, and maintains inventory records and reports. Coordinates and participates in quarterly physical inventories and documents results. Keeps perpetual inventories in balance with general ledger. Participates in month-end financial close. Establishes plans to bring inventory performance in line with GIS benchmarks. |
|Duties:|| Provides maintenance of the inventory item master and branch location records to include verification that product coding follows GIS coding schemes. |
Analyzes excess and obsolete inventory reports and makes recommendations.
Works with distribution center staff and branch operations managers to coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories.
Prepares reports such as inventory balances, price lists, and shortages.
Calculates and reports physical inventory results, global inventory reserve analysis, quarterly inventory in transit, and monthly ESS submission package for inventory related schedules.
Compiles and audits inventory variances posted by parts, supply and equipment department supervisors on a monthly basis.
Identifies demo floor aged machines, discontinued product and high meter units and makes recommendations.
Reconciles inventory to the trial balance.
Facilitates monthly Inventory Task Force meetings to better identify and implement improvements and efficiencies.
Monitors and recommends actions for improvement of Global metrics involving
o Turns: > 12 mo: > 24 mo
o Measurements of Xerox penetration
o Measurements of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
|Qualifications:||EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE |
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of three years experience in managing and conducting physical inventories for multi-site locations. Strong background in inventory analysis and process required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of co-workers, managers and parent company representatives.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
